A bud

It looks like I'm going to have a lily soon in the upper pool! I took this photo while I was trying to get a photo of the dark fish. The bud is the round object, I got carried away when I was taking this photo and stuck my lens in the pool by mistake, luckily the water doesn't appear to have gotten into the mechanism. I am gaining a new appreciation for how hard it is to be a wild life photographer. It involves an incredible amount of patience and stillness, neither of which are dominant features of my personality. So far my plate trick hasn't worked, but the fish are getting a bit used to it and less skittish. It is also getting covered with so much residue that soon it won't work anyway. I still haven't got a clue how the dark fish got into the upper pool. Maybe one of my neighbors is playing a trick on me? Meanwhile, in the lower pool, Frogger is getting bigger everyday.
