My first morning glory! Finally! I was hoping for a blue one, but this is some sort of weird F2 mutated from the ones I planted a few years ago ... Maybe it will be like my dream and there will be a mix of different colors. Next year I think I'll plant some of the blue ones when I make the trellis around the pond. I have a bunch of seed somewhere in the basement. Of course WHERE in the basement is the problem. Have I mentioned yet that I have to clean my basement? Maybe that will be part of my exciting weekend plans for tomorrow. Anyway, this flower is a kind of neat pink and white mix. There were two more on the other side of the bush this morning, they withered before noon (hence the name.) There are a lot more buds on the bush so I am hoping for a good display over the next couple of months. Great late summer flower. The photo really doesn't do it justice.
