95K fur coat

Funny story, I ended up at a fur coat sale at Sax in Boston. Luckily there was free food and cocktails, I was shilling for a charity, hopefully I did some good. As you might imagine, normally I wouldn't be caught dead in a fur shop since it's quite the opposite of my political and moral inclinations. The coat in the picture cost 95 thousand dollars, although I was told that a) the prices are negotiable, and b) this wasn't the most expensive fur there. Pretty amazing that there were still people out looking at spending that kind of money on a coat when the stock market had just dropped by about 5% and is still going down. Well, most of the people were older so hopefully they had taken their money out of the market. Also as a post-script: I said I was happy that the ballot referendums I had been following (like prop 2 in CA) went my way, but obviously I wasn't paying attention to the gay marriage amendments which all went horribly wrong. Interesting insight into the election demographic.
