This is from last weekend. It's a bit of a frog spotting test, personally I am a super prow I can spot them in a second from across the garden at this point. But I shouldn't brag, even if I AM fabulous. Last Saturday, as I mentioned earlier, was freakishly warm as any of you who live in this part of the country will remember. I didn't see the frog on Saturday, but Sunday was still warm and Out was out (or maybe it's In) and about. I really think this is it because the temperature dropped like a rock yesterday and now the pond is covered with ice. As I mentioned before, I was out of town on business and I didn't get back 'til late and so I took a rubber mallet and smashed the ice. The pump is still running, the ice isn't very thick, so hopefully the fish are fine, I think they are basically fine unless they freeze solid. I will probably make myself late for work tomorrow fishing them out of the pond, although on the other hand if they make it through the night they'll probably make it through another day.
