First snow

Last night we had our first snow. Not very much, but it didn't melt all day. It must have been hovering near freezing because the pond never froze either, it had the consistency of a giant slushy. A giant slushy made out of pond water, yuck. My friend was by during the day last week on one of the warm days and he saw one of the frogs out. Pretty amazing, I wonder what the exact temperature is to wake them back up again. Maybe it depends on how frozen they are. Now I REALLY think that was the final frog siting, but considering how crazy the weather is in New England I guess it's perfectly possible that we have another one of those 70 degree thaws in January and then I'm sure they'd be out again.
